During the end
of last spring I got the opportunity to visit St. Petersburg to follow a
course designed for bartenders.
There are a lot
of interesting and magical places to visit in the northern capital of Russia. In
the centre of this amazing city are many ancient buildings with many antiques
statues, monuments and museums. The main
architectural sights are: Winter Palaces, Hermitage, St. Isaac’s and Kazan
Cathedrals, the Savior on the Blood Church, Alexander Nevsky Monastery, Peter
and Paul Fortress and many other.
What impressed me
most of all was - there are a lot of bridges and in the night these bridges get
separated to let big ships to go through in them. It’s a very fascinating
performance.
One of the
phenomena of St. Petersburg is the WHITE NIGHTS. From May to July the night sky is
not getting dark and the night time looks like day time.
But the weather
there is extreme cold and a lot of rain, with a few months of hot summer.
In 3 weeks I
successfully completed my course and got the certificate from professional
bartender school «TOCHKA S ZAPYATOY». (https://vk.com/tozap)
The course is consisted of many theoretical and practical sessions. I met a lot of interesting people there, who, I hope, will be my friends in future.
At the end of
the course, we had a summery session, which consisted of a written paper and
practical test.
I think this school is good for any beginner, who wants to pursue a career in beverage sector.

That was the best trip I ever had, and I hope to come back there as soon as possible.
